Shiftwheel Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 October 2026

Shiftwheel does not collect your personal information. There is no account to create, no server to sync with, and no copy of your schedule that we can read — because we never receive one.

This policy covers Shiftwheel, the shift and rotation calendar for iOS and Android published by Onyx One LLC.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter. Specifically:

All of it is held in the operating system's standard app storage on your own phone. None of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else. If you delete the app, that data goes with it, and we cannot recover it for you — not as a policy, but because we never had a copy. The backup feature below exists so that you can keep your own.

Backup and restore

You can save all of your schedules to a file and restore from one. The app creates the file on your device and hands it to your phone's own share sheet; you choose where it goes — Files, a cloud drive you use, an email to yourself. The app does not upload it anywhere. A backup you store with another service is covered by that service's privacy policy.

Sharing a schedule

You can share a schedule as a picture or as a calendar file (.ics). As with backups, the file is made on your device and passed to the share sheet, and it goes only where you send it. A shared calendar file contains the schedule's name, its work and off days, and any notes and events on the days it covers — so share it only with people you want to see those.

What we do not do

Purchases

Shiftwheel is free to download and offers a one-time purchase to unlock additional features. It is not a subscription.

The payment itself is handled by Apple on iOS or Google on Android — never by us. We never see your card details, billing address, or payment method. We also use RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is valid and to restore it if you reinstall or change device.

For that to work, RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier for your installation together with the purchase receipt the store issues. It does not receive your name, your email address, or any of the schedule content described above.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, they are scheduled as local notifications on your device. They are generated by the app itself and are not sent through any push server, so no message and no schedule ever leaves your phone. You can turn them off in the app or in your device settings.

Children

The app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children — because we do not collect information at all.

Your rights

Laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, and delete personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to produce or erase.

Your data is already entirely in your possession: it is on your phone. You can view it in the app, change it, export your own copy with the backup feature, and delete it by removing a schedule in the app or deleting the app itself.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
