Privacy Policy

Our apps do not collect your personal information. There is no account to create, no server to sync with, and no copy of your data that we can read — because we never receive one.

This policy covers the apps published by Onyx One LLC: Daybreak: Sobriety Companion and Debt Free Date: Snowball. Both work the same way, and both are described below.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter. Specifically:

Daybreak Debt Free Date
Your goals and quit dates, journal entries and daily check-ins, the reasons you wrote down, milestones reached, money saved, and any trusted contacts you typed in. Debt names, balances, interest rates, minimum payments, your chosen strategy and extra payment, and every payment you log.

All of it is held in the operating system's standard app storage on your own phone. None of it is transmitted. If you delete an app, that data goes with it, and we cannot recover it for you — not as a policy, but because we never had a copy.

Daybreak's trusted contacts

Daybreak lets you save up to three people to call from the "I need a minute" screen. You type those names and numbers in by hand. The app never requests permission to read your address book and never does so. The numbers are stored on the device like everything else, and calls are placed by handing the number to your phone's dialler.

Daybreak's backup

Daybreak can copy a plain-text snapshot of your own data to your clipboard so you can paste it somewhere safe and carry it to a new phone. This is entirely user-initiated and goes nowhere except your clipboard. Nothing is uploaded, and the app contains no networking code for it.

What we do not do

Purchases

Both apps are free to download and offer a one-time purchase to unlock additional features. Neither is a subscription.

The payment itself is handled by Apple on iOS or Google on Android — never by us. We never see your card details, billing address, or payment method. We also use RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is valid and to restore it if you reinstall or change device.

For that to work, RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier for your installation together with the purchase receipt the store issues. It does not receive your name, your email address, or any of the personal content described above.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, they are scheduled as local notifications on your device. They are generated by the app itself and are not sent through any push server, so no message and no schedule ever leaves your phone. You can turn them off in the app or in your device settings.

Children

Neither app is directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children — because we do not collect information at all.

Your rights

Laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, and delete personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to produce or erase.

Your data is already entirely in your possession: it is on your phone. You can view it in the app, change it, and delete it by removing the data in the app or deleting the app itself. Daybreak's backup feature lets you export your own copy at any time.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the release notes of the app they affect.
